Press Conference: The Hidden Economy in Bulgaria 2002 - 2011: Policy Implications
On 27 October 2011 the Center for the Study of Democracy will present its latest publication "Dynamics of the Hidden Economy in Bulgaria during the Crisis", elaborated with the support of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The authors make an overview of the effects of the crisis on the labor market and undeclared work based on the Hidden Economy Monitoring System. more »
 
Round Table: National and Energy Security
On 28 July 2011 the Center for the Study of Democracy hosted a round-table discussion on energy security. The speakers were General James Jones, former National Security Advisor to President Obama, joined by Mr. Traicho Traikov, the Bulgarian Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism. Round table: Anti-Corruption in Public Procurement: Balancing the Policies
On May 26, 2011 the Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD) and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) organized a round table in Oslo on the various aspects of good governance in the energy sector and in particular on anti-corruption policies in public procurement. On 26 April 2011 the Center for the Study of Democracy hosted a policy forum on the costs and benefits of biomass as a renewable source of energy.
