On 17 and 18 June, 2005 the Center for the Study of Democracy hosted a workshop on the future of corruption monitoring jointly organized with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Videoconference: Investment Climate: Competitiveness and Poverty Reduction
On June 13, 2005 the Distance Learning Center at the Center for the Study of Democracy, jointly with the World Bank Country Office in Sofia, organized a videoconference discussion on one of the pillars of development - the creation of a better investment climate to create jobs and higher incomes. IV Global Forum on Fighting Corruption
From 7 to 10 June, 2005 the capital of Brazil, Brasilia hosted one of the most important global events on the international calendar in the fight against wrongdoing in government - The IV Global Forum on Fighting Corruption. Alexander Stoyanov, Director of Research at the Center for Study of Democracy made a presentation titled Monitoring and Measuring Levels of Corruption in Bulgaria and South East Europe as part of the workshop on Measuring Corruption during the second day of the Forum. more »
