|In November, 2003 Coalition 2000 announced a small grant competition for non-profit non-governmental organizations experienced in the implementation of anticorruption projects.
Areas of priority:
1. Institutionalizing civic control on the local government and self-government authorities - support for the establishment and development of the ombudsman institution.
2. Anticorruption education: encouraging the development of anticorruption courses in the curricula of high and secondary schools
3. Typology of and counteraction to corruption practices in the public sphere, incl. local, district and central administration.
The small grant program will encourage innovative approaches with the aim of achieving practical results in curbing corruption. Projects, which particularly aim to create conditions for greater transparency and accountability in the public sphere, will be prioritized.
