The workshop was the first of the events in phase one of the project focusing on training for the project partners. The setup of a corruption watchdog is one of the main areas in which NGOs could have a crucial role in promoting the rule of law and ensuring good governance. The workshop aimed at introducing non-governmental organizations in the region to the use of monitoring devices in the course of implementing a corruption watchdog system. The participants were trained on the role NGOs are supposed to play in the reform efforts, the necessary design and the management of the process and the measures to implement for fighting corruption in real life situations.
